dc.description.abstract Spin coating has made a drastic impact in the coating process of the materials in organic electronics and nanotechnology. The goal of this report is to design, fabricate and to evaluate a thin film spin coater that is economical and easily manufactured. A spin coater is a machine that distributes evenly, a thin film of a few nanometer to a few microns thickness of liquid onto a substrate uniformly. Moreover, as there are many desirable properties of this coater, some are ability to make a defect free and uniform film, precision in rotation control together with a closed optimized process chamber are conserved in this spin coater. The material used for making a thin film onto a substrate is a volatile solvent and this system is fabricated by using a DC motor and a simple circuit in which the rotating speed can easily be controlled. Thin films are successfully made through this spin coater by mixing of a chemical Titanium dioxide (TiO2) with Ethanol (C2H5OH) forming a thin film layer of titanium dioxide on the surface of acrylic substrate en_US
