dc.description.abstract In the age of information technology and robotics, automation has improved nearly every once manual aspect of life. Modern day agriculture is no different. Faced with labour shortages, lower profits, and exhaustingly redundant manual work, farmers are benefitting from farms that automate the crop production cycle. Most work so far has been done on the harvesting aspect of agriculture. Our project involves the design and fabrication of an autonomous seed plantation mechanism for a chassis robot. This is an Arduino controlled mechanism that will work on a control system to plant the seeds and helping the farmers by increasing the accuracy and speed of seed pouring. Our mechanism is modular type it can be replaced by other mechanisms like sowing, weeding, or harvesting that can help future engineers or researchers. This mechanism works on a certain conversion of motion and help in getting more profit. It has been designed in such a way that there is a synchronization of speed between plantation rod and the seeding mechanism. With constant improvements and work on the system, a truly multipurpose and efficient mechanism can be designed that will not only aid the agricultural sector of Pakistan, but could even be outsourced to help other countries, providing a strong base for agricultural robotics. en_US
