dc.description.abstract |
The High Volume Low Speed Fans are unlike conventional fans. They have a
fan blade of about 2 meters incorporating the twist. The HVLS fans have wide
applications in large storage spaces like warehouses, mosques and barns etc.
They are manufactured and utilized in most countries except Pakistan and many
people are oblivious of their benefits. HVLS fans are energy efficient fans with
a capacity to replace almost seven conventional fans because of their high
volume. The speed of HVLS fans ranges from 50 to 200rpm stimulating large
segments of horizontal air column making them more effective in large spaces.
They are helpful in removing moisture from the ground consequently minimize
the safety risks. Keeping in view the advantages of HVLS fans and their nonexistent nature in manufacturing market of Pakistan it was decided to opt for the
fabrication of HVLS fan as a part of our final year project. Pursuing this
venture, not only the high cost of importing the HVLS fans can be avoided but
we can also shed some light on the benefits of using HVLS fans in large spaces
in comparison with the conventional fans. |
