dc.description.abstract |
With rapid and continual advancements in military defence capabilities, the need to
improve the missile technology in terms of accuracy, speed, range and guidance has
become requisite. Considering the researches and innovations in the development of
sophisticated, precise and novel missiles, this project aims at introducing the concept of
rollerons –for passive guidance of missile systems. Working on the principle of gyroscopic
effect, the dynamics of this unique and simple device transcends the human comprehension
until thoroughly studied and researched. An in-depth and detailed insight into this
technology has been explained, followed by its 3D modelling on SOLIDWORKS and
analysis on ANSYS. The scope of the project had to be made limited due to the current
pandemic situation, during which fabrication of this project could not be done. However,
recommendations for future work have been added at the end so as to carry on this project
in the years to come. |
