dc.description.abstract |
To further the applicability of micro-satellites in large scale relevant missions,
it is necessary that they have their own propulsion system for maneuvering.
This report suggests several mechanisms for achieving this maneuvering. We
have chosen resistojet system for this purpose. It uses liquid water for
operation due its safety and easy accessibility. Design of heating chamber,
nozzle, tank, piping, and electronics that are required for complete assembly
of this product are also discussed. The report also sheds light on the fabrication
and testing that was done to prepare a working prototype. Shortcomings in the
areas of design and fabrication are also discussed with recommendations
which if implemented will ensure proper working of the prototype. |
