Abstract:
Flexible pavements are typically designed to provide a good ride quality
and to resist rutting and other distresses. The structural design of flexible
pavements has been an evolutionary process based primarily on the
experience and judgments of engineers, expanded by an empirical
relationships developed through the research and field observations. The
performance of flexible pavements depends upon the following factors,
which are very important in determining the effective life expectancy of the
compacted mix.
