dc.description.abstract This project is aimed at the design and fabrication of a two-stroke, single cylinder, 100 CC internal combustion, spark ignition engine. Using best practices design guidelines and research papers, the basic dimensions of all components are selected. Analytical calculations pertaining to thermodynamic and mechanical analysis are then performed in order to design and, therefore, optimize each primary engine component. Furthermore, detailed CAD models of these parts are developed based on the analytical results and design dimensions calculated earlier. Finally, the assembly and/or fabrication of the engine components is conducted based on the design synthesis and analysis. en_US
