dc.description.abstract Compressor is a mechanical device that has made its place in each and every industry. Specifically, screw compressors having wide operating range, capacity and applications have eclipsed other compressors in market. Screw compressors being oil free tend to give ISO 8573-1 air at outlet. Henceforth, screw compressors are the focus of interest for food processing, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industry. Above all the famous use of screw compressor as a supercharger has been the topic of interest in our project. In this project the screw rotor modelling, manufacturing and auxiliary equipment fabrication have been dealt with. Moreover, it has been learnt that screw compressor efficiency, capacity and flowrate is a function of rotor design only. Moreover, the pressure increment depends upon the positioning of inlet and outlet ports. Therefore, during the project, a unique, mathematical, and effective rotor profile have been developed and is expected to compress 1.5 Liters of air at a pressure ratio of 2 in a single revolution. Furthermore, the effectiveness of designed lobes of screw compressor is subjected to precision manufacturing which is a hard nut to crack. Hence, screw compressor assembly is thereby subjected to test bench in order to quantify screw sompressor specifications and meet the required deliverables. en_US
