dc.description.abstract World have seen the revolution in the field of communication over the last two decades, there have been improvements in the ways of communication around us in our homes, offices and across the entire world over. The credit goes to the rapid advancements in the field of cellular wireless communication and broadband services. In recent past the smart phone and tablets has gain popularity and has become the necessary requirement of every one. Considering the increasing demands of users vis-a-viz the constraint of frequency spectrum and power scarcity, possible solution will be Multi-user Multi input Multi output (MU-MIMO) systems. Such system will be able to meet the much of user demands still remaining within constraints. More over such system put more of the processing and power load to the base station, managing of which is not a big issue as compared to the mobile station. MU-MIMO systems use a large number of antennas for active terminals. Extra antennas enhance energy into smaller regions which improves throughput and energy efficiency. Accurate Channel State Information (CSI) fed to the transmitter as feedback enhances throughput but it is resource expensive. CSI occupies bandwidth; moreover feedback grows with the increase in number of antennas. Inaccurate feedback also causes throughput loss. Compress sensing along with Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) as recovery algorithm has been employed as feedback efficient scheme. CS has reduced the feedback without compromising on performance and work good even in noisy environment for MU-MIMO system. Employing Channel inversion basing on CSIT acquired using CS has not improved the throughput of system but has also reduced MS processing. Median Coded Selection Combing diversity has further improved the results. en_US
