dc.description.abstract The aim of this thesis is to assess the implications of the presence of various Multi-National Corporations (MNCs) and whether they serve as a source of socio-economic development or as agents of imperialism in Pakistan. This thesis specifically takes a deeper look into an undiscovered area in which is the imperialistic behavior of the leadership of such Multi-National Corporations towards the human capital that is provided to them in Pakistan. The research findings indicate that although such corporations bring in a wide-range of benefits for the economic landscape, but they fail to out-number the drawbacks that their presence has on the local employees as well as local businesses in Pakistan. This inherent tendency of multi-nationals as agents of imperialism is shown in this research study. en_US
