dc.description.abstract WTO; What is this organization and what are its impacts for a cereal producer like Fauji Cereals in Pakistan , this is the theme behind the thesis. Nowadays, a lot of research is being done to establish a link between the WTO and economic s of Pakistan. But, so far very less research has been done in order to analyze the micro impacts of these agreements and schedules. This thesis is a contribution from all those who helped me and myself towards coming up with a scenario which helps us unde rstand the ground level realities of WTO and its effects on a corporation. As a case for this thesis, Fauji Cereals has been taken as a source for understanding different concepts and their implications. Different researches that have been included in th is thesis, focus on the mega issues; issues that our macro-economy would be facing. Different economic concepts have been taken from these researches which trickle down to micro level aspects of the business game . Difference of opinion may exist and verdic ts may differ, but it is the concept behind, not the opinion. Thus, based on these economic and management concepts I have come up with analysis which shows how different agreements would impact inputs, processes and output s for Fauji Cereals’ Corn Flakes. There cannot be a single sentence which defines how management at Fauji Cereals is going to face the new economic regime. Same goes for the Government of Pakistan. There will be have to be in -depth study of the agreements and then their solutions will have to be embedded in day to day activities of the organization / government. Thesis discusses the immediate steps that Fauji Cereals must take in order to get compliance and competitiveness with the WTO regime. Final judgment that drives down at the end o f the project is to buckle up the organization on every front, may it be human resource management or marketing management. There is no escape and to survive, Fauji Cereals will have to be competitive and strong enough to fight. en_US
